The hotel’s poolside facilities are first class and there is an outdoor themed swimming pool with water slides, jets and a jacuzzi (over 16s only). The outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace and sun deck area with lush green palm trees. Towels and sun loungers are available for guests’ use free of charge. The hotel also has an indoor heated swimming pool, which is open between 16 September and 15 June. The hotel’s impressive Acquaplaya health and beauty centre has a water-jet circuit and offers a variety of relaxing and therapeutic treatments and therapies. Guests can take advantage of the Acquaplaya’s exclusive services such as face and body treatments, hydromassage, partial massage, full massage, wine therapy, chocolate therapy, manicures, pedicures, makeovers and much more. Situated on the Costa de Almería, Roquetas de Mar features many good beaches with superb water sports facilities. There are also tennis, horse riding and golf facilities. The Playaserena golf course is just 400 metres away and there are another 2 excellent courses within a 10 km radius. Roquetas de Mar organises a multitude of cultural activities throughout the year, including plays and concerts which take place in the theatre and auditorium. The resort itself also features a lighthouse that is currently in service as an exhibition hall, but which houses painting or photography exhibitions every 2 weeks. To the south-east of Almeria, 56 km from Roquetas, Cabo de Gata is a naturally beautiful paradise with much to offer scuba divers. Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park has been officially recognised by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful and wild spaces of Andalusia. Tabernas is the only semi-dry desert in Europe and some of the world’s most famous westerns have been filmed there. Parts of the desert have now been developed and converted into Oasys, Parque Tematico del Desierto de Tabernas, one of the most inventive theme parks in the Mediterranean. |
