Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (2.5 km) - a wonder of the ancient world, completed around 350 BC and largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1304, these fascinating ruins are an essential visit. Bodrum Castle (3 km) - the castle of St. Peter is an impressive example of medieval architecture. Occupying nearly 2800 m² at its base, it is now home to a museum that includes exhibits of underwater archaeology. |
