Nowogród - situated 15 km west of Łomża, is close to where the river Pisa joins the river Narew. The natural landscape are a big attraction for this area. These are the remains of the former Great Forest of Kurpie. The woodlands are a sanctuary for many animals and wildlife including wild pigs, elks and deer, grouse, and swans.
