The most remarkable feature of Dalyan is the Dalyan Channel, where the Mediterranean Sea and the Koycegiz Lake mix together, forming wetlands where a wide variety of wildlife and birds enjoy a protected environment. Dalyan is also famous for a five-kilometer long natural sandbar which separates the sea from the river delta.
