Gragnano is a small village, 10 minutes from Lucca. Nearby you can visit the famous monumental country villas, Garfagnana valley and Bagni di Lucca Spa, Pinocchios birthplace, Montecatini Terme Spa. The hotel is also ideal as a base for exploring the cities of Tuscany; Florence and Pisa as they are just one hour away, and Siena only 2 hours. The Versilia sea and Apuane Mountains are also easily reachable. |

By car: - From highway A11 Firenze Mare exit at Capannori, turn right in via della Madonnina (SP 27) - Go on for about 4 km just to the end of the road - At the traffic lights turn right again on SS 435 via Pesciatina direction Pescia - After 4 km in Borgonuovo turn left and contiunue for via della Chiesa di Gragnano. By train: - From Lucca railway station turn right in viale Giusti - Go on for about 1 km - Turn right on SS435 via Pesciatina, after about 8 km, in Borgonuovo turn left in via della Chiesa di Gragnano. Nestled in the countryside, on Lucca’s hills, this 17th century stone country house has been carefully restored to maintain its original Tuscan features, and is furnished to a high standard. In the middle of the house you will find the B&B accommodation: on the ground floor there is a large living area with fireplace, piano, TV and a choice of books and magazines. On the upper floors the spacious bedrooms, decorated with antique furniture, have their own private bathroom and modern comforts, including air conditioning and satellite LCD TV. Outside the house is a park surrounded by olive trees, a vineyard, the woods and a peaceful lake. |
