The Giuggiulena Hotel, ranked as a bed and breakfast in the tourist literature, is a shelter carved into a cliff overlooking a bay off of the ocean on the east coast of Sicily, in the city of Siracusa. It is an almost self-contained environment, a serene and visually beautiful oasis, where you hear only the lapping of waves from the sea, as if you were on a secluded island in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is a little piece of heaven, a cocoon engraved inside a rock overlooking the ocean. Actually, its on the other side of a bay, facing the historic part of the Siracusa, about a 15-minute walk away. |

The accommodation is centrally located in Siracusa overlooking the sea and one of the small marinas. It is a 15-minute walk to Ortigia, the historical centre of Siracusa, or alternatively there is a local bus and boat service. Local bars, restaurants and shops are all within close proximity. Sites of interest within the main town of Siracusa include the ancient Greek Theatre, where performances are still staged during May & June and which forms part of a larger archeological park. The archeological museum has one of the best displays of archeological remains in Sicily. The old cathedral located in the heart of Ortigia date from 1728, but includes 8th century Norman artifacts. Siracusa also offers beaches which are generally located to the south of the city and include the resorts of Arenella, Fontane Bianche and the protected coastline of Vendicari. Further afield from Siracusa, but within easy driving distance are the Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ispica and Ragusa Ibla. The popular resorts of Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Letojanni are located north of Catania, whilst the imposing form of Mount Etna is easily visible from Siracusa and offers numerous opportunities for excursions. | |

Giuggiulena B&B is set in a Mediterranean villa overlooking the Ionian Sea and offers a pleasant atmosphere of relaxation. Not far from the Ortigia Island, the establishment is comprised of 9 comfortable rooms facing the sea, all with a small private balcony, and modern amenities. The villa was recently restructured and offers large common areas, a solarium terrace and easy access to the suggestive rocks of the beautiful sea of Giuggiulena. In August Giuggiulena B&B is only bookable for weekly stays. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first two nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. One child under 3 years stays free of charge in an extra bed. One child from 3 to 10 years is charged EUR 17.50 per night and person in an extra bed. One older child or adult is charged EUR 35.00 per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
