The main building was originally an officers casino (mess) at the turn of the century. High ranked soldiers – stationed in the Káli Basin – enjoyed their evenings and meals in this beautiful house and you can today. The owner bought the building in 1996 and restored it carefully, retaining each ancient detail and furnished it with antiques. The building consists of the dining room, the kitchen, the office, the wine cellar, the atelier and the library. Our library is equipped with books, TV and a stereo. We also have a 50 year old radio set ( which we still use ). |

Fresh fish from Lake Balaton and poultry from the surrounding farms as well as ingredients and herbs taken directly from the garden will add a unique taste you will savour with every meal. Enjoy the full and original taste of the wine in the cellar, where the well tempered wine is also taken directly out of the cask with a wine-syphon. In winter we offer our breakfast in the authentic dining room of our main building, in the summer we suggest our patio ( covered by vine ) or the garden ( covered by sunshine ). |

The hotel invites you to visit the Lake Balaton ( only 3 km away), the surrounding lovely little towns or the stone-sea. The Káli Art Inn is the perfect starting point for a visit to all the nearby sights. In the village of Köveskál, visit the small church built in the 16th century, the Town well – washing house built around 1700 and the ruins of the ancient settlement. In times of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy this area delivered the white wine for the Royal Court in Vienna. Thus, you will find numerous wine cellars in the Kál basin offering wine-tastings. The Lake Balaton, just 3 miles from the Káli Art Inn - and several smaller ponds ( Kornyi, Sálföld ) in the neighborhood invite you for a spot of bird watching and swimming. We also recommend a visit to the well-known thermal-pond Hévíz. From Balatonfüred and Badacsony there are daily cruises taking several routes on Lake Balaton. In Révfülöp and Balatonfüred you will find sailing ports, at both you can rent a boat with or without a crew. There are several more beautiful places like Tihany ( old town and monastery ), Kékkút ( where our mineral water comes from ), Keszthely ( the famous castle Festetics ) and Badacsony ( the Rosa Szegedi wine museum ) which are worth visiting. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
