How to get to Zermatt by car Zermatt is a car-free resort. Access for private transport is only allowed as far as Täsch (5 km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is not open to public transport. There are open-air public car parks (1,800 spaces) and covered private car parks (1,300 spaces) in Täsch. The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces and operate a taxi service to and from Zermatt. Shuttle trains operated by the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway also run every 20 minutes. Park & Ride: There is a car park with free parking for 100 cars in Visp (27 km from Zermatt) for people travelling by train from here to Zermatt. |
