In our cosy, 74-seater restaurant we offer typical German and regional specialities, including Schnitzel, home-made cheese Spätzle, and an Old Heidelberger sausage platter with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. We also offer seasonal dishes such as asparagus or venison. During good weather, you can sit at our outdoor cafe tables on the marketplace. Enjoy people-watching, gaze at the castle and the Holy Spirit Church, and relax in the sunshine with a good beer or wine. Our wine comes from just north of Heidelberg, at the Schriesheimer Winzergenossenschaft (Schriesheim’s winegrowers’ cooperative). With almost 400 hectares of vineyard, the Badische Bergstrasse is the smallest area of wine cultivation in Baden, resulting in quality over quantity. The wine is as varied as the land from which it is produced, and we recommend you take the time to explore both. |

This family-run hotel and restaurant is located directly on the marketplace in the Old Town, and makes the perfect starting point for sightseeing. Home to the Holy Spirit Church and the town hall, the marketplace marks the start of a long long pedestrian zone lined with restaurants, outdoor cafes and shops. Many of the city’s sights can be explored on foot from here, including the Old Bridge, the River Neckar, the university and Heidelberg Castle. The nearby mountain railway takes you to the castle or the top of the Königstuhl mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city and surrounding landscape. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
