		The Hotel & Restaurant Alte Thorschenke occupies probably the most famous and most photographed building in Cochem.A historic wine tavern, the building forms part of the city wall and the old city gate which were built in 1332 at the direction of the Archbishop Elector of Trier, Baldwin of Luxembourg.
