The Cecilienhof was the last palace to be built by the Hohenzollern dynasty. It was erected in the style of a timber-framed English manor house between 1914 and 1917, on the orders of the Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia and Princess Cecilie. The wonderful palace gardens are embedded in the park Neuer Garten by Jungfernsee Lake in Potsdam. From here the centres of Potsdam and Berlin are within easy reach. Cecilienhof attained world recognition as the site chosen for the negotiations of the victorious allies in the summer of 1945. Truman, Churchill and Stalin negotiated the Potsdam Agreement right here. The historic conference rooms and private chambers of the royal couple are open for viewing in the museum part of the palace. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
