Just a short stroll takes you to the heart of Hameln’s Old Town with its numerous attractions and impressive old buildings from the Weserrenaissance. The highlands surrounding the river Weser are waiting to be discovered via a boat trip or a cycle tour along Germany’s most popular cycle path – the Weserradweg. Weekly from mid-May until mid- September the musical performance of Rats and the open-air play The Pied Piper of Hamelin take place in the town centre and can be viewed free of charge. Visit the museum, one of the galleries, the glassworks of Hameln or linger awhile in one of the numerous Old Town taverns. |
