This hotel was opened in the 1980s, on the outskirts of Hamburgs harbour, in the district of Veddel. It lies just a 5-minute drive from the city centre, within a clean and tidy residential area. In 1991 the hotel was taken over by the Gresham Hotel Group (formerly Ryan Irish Hotels) and gained a truly Irish character. Since then, we have been welcoming guests from all over the world, whether travelling on business or for pleasure. |

Coming from the South on the A7 or A1: At Horster Dreieck the A1 in direction of Hamburg- city, until junction Hamburg-süd onto the A 255 towards Centrum, first exit, direction Veddel up to the crossing, straight on. The hotel is straight ahead of you. Coming from the North on the A1 At junction Hamburg- Süd change on the A255 direction of Hamburg- City, exit Veddel until the crossing. Follow the mainstreet and the hotel is straight ahead of you. Coming from the North on the A7: Exit Volksparkstadion, following the description Elbbrücken, take there the right street and exit Veddel. At the traffic light left und you are in front of the hotel. Coming from the City: Follow Elbbrücken, exit Veddel Coming with puplic transport: S-Bahn 3 or 31 direction Hamburg- Harburg, get off Veddel, follow the street Wilhelmsburger Strasse, change at the end on the other side of the street and you reach to the hotel.(10min.) S3 all 10 min from 4:30am to 0:30am. The bus 34 up to the stop Hovestieg, go right into Sieldeich and follow the street up to its end. |

The Gresham Carat Hotel is located in the southern part of Hamburg city, close to the famous “Elbbrücken” bridges and just a few minutes from the harbour, the jetty from where cruise boats depart and the renowned “Speicherstadt” (the warehouse district). The city centre, with its famous shopping streets and main railway station, is just 2 stops away via S-Bahn (city rail). We offer cost-free parking spaces or a garage – simply park your car and take advantage of Hamburg’s public transport services. All of our guest rooms are spacious and feature soundproof windows and tea-/coffee-making facilities. Use of the sauna and solarium is included in the room rate. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
