Casa Miradouro was built around 1890, and completely restored in 1993, opening for guests in July 1994. The name translates to Viewpoint House, named as such because of the fantastic view towards the Atlantic Ocean and over Sintra. Besides the 8 cosy rooms, there is a lounge with beautiful stucco ceilings, satellite-TV, a bar, library and fire place. Here guests can mingle with each other, as well as the family of owners and caretakers. There is also a beautiful terrace in the estate gardens. |

The Casa Miradouro has 8 rooms, all with private bathrooms. Double-glazed windows and central heating make the rooms comfortable even in the Portuguese winter. All rooms are decorated in bright colours, with impressive, large windows for full enjoyment of the magnificent views. Some of the rooms have beautiful stucco ceilings. All the rooms are non-smoking rooms. Four of the rooms have double beds, while the other 4 have single beds. |

Located within 500 metres of the National Palace, Casa Miradouro provides an excellent base to visit the historic monuments of Sintra. Casa Miradouro is situated within the Historic centre of Sintra, a short walk from the Royal Palace and the shops and restaurants, but is still in a quiet and peaceful location of its own. Lovers of music can enjoy the chamber music and ballet festivals in June/July, and there are several golf courses within a 12 km radius. |

Casa Miradouro is only 30km from Lisbon airport and the centre of the city. Trains run every 20 minutes, and provide an excellent service between Sintra and the centre of Lisbon. A shuttle taxi service from the airport is available from the hotel for a fee. | |
