Here we mix fine food, superb wines and friendly professional service for a traditional, yet refreshingly modern eating experience for you to enjoy. The Island Suite is the larger of our two dining rooms. This will cater for weddings, private parties or dinner dances for up to 300 diners. The Shanowen Bar is popular with guests and locals. The atmosphere is calm and warm and the welcome genuine. An ideal venue for pre or post dinner drinks. Cons Traditional Irish Bar. Named after the brilliant journalist, local man Con Houlihan. Con’s is an imaginative, traditional design and a great place to experience all that is best in Castleisland people, warmth, humour, chat as well as a love for Irish music and dance. The walls of Cons Traditional Irish bar are covered with memorablia and pictures of some of it’s the towns most famous sporting faces including Moss Keane, Mick Galwey, Mick Doyle and Charlie Nelligan to name but a few. |

Situated in the valley of River Maine, Castleisland is a mere 6 miles from Farranfore Airport and a 10-minute drive to Killarney. This lively town bustles with activity, especially during the 2 annual festivals – The Kerry drama festival in March and the Padraig O’Keefe Festival in September. Castleisland Golf Course, built on 200 acres of parkland, is a new addition to the area and is open all year round. Castleisland’s new athletic track offers landscaped walks, whether you fancy a quiet stroll or an intense run. Castleisland is an ideal base for touring the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Tralee.
