There are a number of excellent National Trust and English Heritage properties close to Torbay. Tor Abbey is re-opening after extensive refurbishment, and Agatha Christies Greenway House and Gardens is worth a visit. Dartmoor, Dartmouth and Totnes are must-see places for all visitors to Torquay. Cockington Village, with its thatched cottages, craft centre, extensive gardens and lakes is only 2 km away from the house. Torquay itself offers a wonderful selection and variety of restaurants, cafes and night life. Local bus tours: there are a number of local companies offering day trips to local beauty spots. |
