Avalon Guest House is just 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre. There is a golf course, skating rink and leisure pool 200 metres along the road. The recently renovated Eden Court Theatre is also only a few minutes’ walk away, as is the River Ness, Inverness Castle and Caledonian Canal. Inverness is the perfect base from which to explore the Highlands of Scotland. Key attractions are: Eilean Donan Castle, Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Aviemore, Cairngorm National Park, Ben Nevis, Isle of Skye, John OGroats and many more. For the more active visitor there are some stunning walks and cycle routes. |
