The hotel is located in a designated new town which means that it was completely redesigned and rebuilt after World War 2 though the old town, as affectionately referred to by residents, is still standing. In town, at Leisure World at Jarman Park, who can ice skate, swim, play pool and arcade machines. Away from Jarman Park is the fast paced game of Quasar. For those looking for something a little slower, Little Hay and Shendish Manor both have 18 or 9-hole golf courses and a pitch and putt. Little Hay also offers tuition. Hemel is located on the central routes of several different travelling methods, be it train, motorway or canal boat. With London only 25 miles away, even more attractions open up. Windsor Castle is 21 miles away to the south, Whipsnade Zoo is only 8 miles away to the north and for guests looking for a bit of history, the Roman city of St. Albans is only minutes away to the east. |

Boxmoor Lodge is situated just off the A41 (Hemel Hempstead junction). From the M1: - Exit at junction 8 and follow signs for Hemel Hempstead railway station (will be on left). - Continue straight at the roundabout and and under 2 bridges. The hotel is located just before the traffic lights on the left. From the M25: - Exit at junction 20 onto the A41 for Hempstead Junction. - Follow signs for Hemel Hempstead railway station and continue as above. |
