The coastline is an area of outstanding beauty and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head include a walkers route along the cliff tops. Close by are the charming villages of Alfriston, Wilmington and East Dean as well as Drusillas Zoo, Polegate Windmill, Michelham Priory, Pevensey Castle, Newhaven Fort and the resorts of Brighton and Hastings. |

On Foot: From the seafront, proceed down Lascelles Terrace (next to the TGWU building) past the Devonshire Park Theatre into Hardwick Road, then left into Blackwater Road, where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side, opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre. From the Tourist Information Centre, proceed along Cornfield Road into Cornfield Terrace and take the 1st turning right into Blackwater Road where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre. From the railway station, proceed up Gildredge Road and left into South Street. Then turn immediately right into Spencer Street and left into Blackwater Road, where the hotel is situated on the left-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre. |
