Peckforton Castle is the realisation of the dreams of one man: Lord Tollemache, MP for Cheshire. He built Britains grandest folly between 1844 and 1851. Standing atop a wooded hillside, its dramatic silhouette can be seen for miles across Cheshire. Today it is a magnificent grade 1 listed building, architecturally recognised as the UKs truest representation of a medieval castle. | |

The Head Chef, Steve Ramsden, is classically trained with some of the industry greats, resulting in a unique culinary experience. His menus are based around locally sourced produce and this is reflected in the choice of suppliers to Peckforton Castle; the kitchen uses the Cheshire Smoke House, Burrows the award winning butcher in Bunbury, Williams of Flint for their Welsh Black Beef and fresh produce from the local farms. The restaurant Manager and staff are on hand to cater to your every whim, whether it be formal or informal dining. If you are looking for your own private dining room to entertain family and friends or simply a romantic meal for 2 overlooking the grassed Ward area, you simply have to ask. You can even start your evening in the candle-lit Wine Cellar, sipping on a glass of Pink Champagne, nibbling on some canapés whilst browsing the à la carte menu and extensive wine list. |

Peckforton Castle is situated 12 miles from Chester city centre, 36 miles from Manchester International Airport, 20 minutes drive from junction 16 of the M6 and halfway between Birmingham and Manchester.
