The hotel’s own on-site restaurant is rich in old world Kentish atmosphere, with beams and hops complimented by an open log fire and a wood-burning stove to drive away those winter chills. You can enjoy Kentish Pride real ale and a fine choice of wine by the glass or by the bottle. The restaurant offers a full waiting service and is ideal for larger or smaller, more intimate, parties. Alfresco dining on the patio is very popular on sunny days and warm evenings when you can see the peaceful surroundings of the countryside. The chefs pride themselves on a menu using the best locally sourced and home-grown produce to create an exciting range of mouth-watering English and continental dishes. On Sundays, a fine Sunday roast is available alongside the other menus. The restaurant has proved to be extremely popular with hotel guests, visitors and local people. For this reason, booking ahead is strongly advised. You can choose from 2 sittings: 19:00 and 20:45. Breakfast is available from 07:00 until 09:30. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 18:00. From Junction 7 m20 take a249 turn off signposted Sheerness. Immediately get over into right hand lane and take Detling Village turn off. Go through the village to the Cock Horse pub. Opposite pub there is a lane called Pilgrims Way signposted Thurnham. The Black Horse Inn is 5 mins drive down lane. | |
