The Fairlawn Hotel is a grade 2 listed fine Georgian townhouse, conveniently situated in the small historical market town of Amesbury just off the a303. We are only about 40 miles from the lovely Roman city of Bath and about 60 miles from the outskirts of London, making Amesbury an ideal stopover for those travelling to the West Country, Devon and Cornwall. The house still retains many of the original features including a wonderful curved staircase and a rare internal wind vane. Over the last year the present owners have restored the house to some of its original glory and have completely refurbished the lounge and bar area, providing a beautiful and comfortable area for guests to relax in and browse through the library of guidebooks and local tourist information. | |

Each room has recently been refurbished in a traditional style. All bedrooms are en-suite and have complimentary tea and coffee trays, colour TV, hairdryer and are comfortably furnished. The owners take care to provide a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel. | |

There is a unique feature dining room situated in the former wine cellar area, where the owners supply a healthy continental style breakfast, and for the more traditional, a freshly home-cooked English or Vegetarian breakfast cooked to your specific tastes. Our breakfasts are prepared using as much local produce as possible. We do not offer an evening meal but you will find a good selection of eateries within a short walk from the hotel and we can recommend some excellent country pubs a few miles away. We are happy to help with any special dietary requirements with given notice. |

By Car: From London: - Take the M3 south west, then join the A303. This takes you directly into Amesbury. - From the A303, come off at the Countess Weir Roundabout and head for the town centre. - Go straight across the traffic lights and turn right at the mini-roundabout. - Go to the end of Salisbury Street and turn right into High Street. - The Fairlawn Hotel is on the right hand side about 200 metres along, opposite the bank. From Salisbury: - Follow the Amesbury signs and turn left at the mini-roundabout into Salisbury Street. - At the end of Salisbury Street, turn right into High Street. - The Fairlawn Hotel is on the right-hand side about 200 metres along opposite the bank.
