Arundel is just off the A27 between Chichester and Brighton. The Swan Hotel can be found in the town centre at the bottom of the High Street, just by the River Arun. Arundel is well placed for exploring the lovely countryside, Downland villages and coastal areas of West Sussex. It forms an excellent centre for touring Brighton, Worthing, Petworth and the Cathedral town of Chichester, which are all close by. You will find many other places of interest in and around Arundel, including the Cathederal, Arundel Park, the Wild Fowl Trust and of course the River Arun, which winds its way through the heart of the town where boat trips can be taken. Arundel also has a host of shops to suit all tastes, from antiques to ladies fashion. | |

The Swan Hotel itself dates back to 1759 and is a prominent building on the High Street. The hotels bar, serving the family owned Fuller Smith & Turner Ltd Ale, proves to be particularly popular with locals and guests alike. Although the hotel unfortunately does not have private parking facilities due to its prominent location in the town centre, it is located very close to a public pay display car park that charges quite reasonable rates. It is only chargeable between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00, overnight it is free (advisable to put a ticket on your car overnight as it does not start charging until the morning, so then saving you the inconvenience of rushing out early in the morning). There are also numerous alternative parking facilities around the town some of which are free, all within walking distance of the hotel. | |
