We all like to get out and about and see whats of interest in the area. You wont be disappointed with Cashel and the surrounding area as there is plenty to see and do. Possible activities include exploring the famous Rock of Cashel and local historic sites. You can also browse the streets with its many shops and cafes. Enthusiastic hill walkers will love the Glen of Aherlow nearby and there is also a cycling route. Local horse riding is a great way to enjoy the fresh country air and you can have a fun day at the races in either Thurles or Clonmel. Take a picnic and a boat trip on the Shannon from Killaloe. Drive along past the spectacular scenery and head up to the Vee, where the view will take your breath away. Here, you can stop for lunch in the popular heritage town of neighbouring Lismore. |
