The pleasant ambiance and the friendly hosts are sure to make your evening a pleasant one. If the weather allows it, you can dine undisturbed on our splendid garden terrace. The hotel terrace faces south and enjoys a view of the Berkel valley. On the other side of the building there is a 19th century tea garden, which is a household word for many hikers and cyclists from the neighbourhood. The tea garden offers an extra dimension to intervals along one of the many magnificent routes of the surroundings. |

By train youll travel towards station Zutphen. From there you will find a bus (254) which brings you to the hotel. It stops right in front of the building. Unfortunately the bus does not drive on sundays. | |

Hotel De Hoofdige Boer (Stubborn Farmer) situated in the rural countryside of the Netherlands (Eastern part) welcomes hotelguests for 3 generations in the Holtslag family. It is an independent modern hotel with very unique surroundings. You will find an atmosphere of which you had thought it did not exist anymore. Nice rooms, friendly staff and we are proud of our kitchen as well as all the other facts that will make your stay in our hotel memorable. We are looking forward to welcome you! Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 11.50 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 28.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included.
