The rooms are large and have been painted in light and harmonious colours. The have recently been renovated, but have retained their old cosy atmosphere. We offer the possibility for groups to book our theatre room, which is perfect for organising workshops, courses or therapies, requiring a quiet and serene place. | |

The pub or terrace; the place where you meet people Originality the place where the people of Middelie meet each other. Some of the clubs have there weekly activities in het Wapen van Middelie, such as play at draughts, play jass and play at billiards. But you do not have to be a member to have a drink! During a winter walk it is nice to warm up at the fire on the hearth. Have a warm chocolate milk with apple pie, or something stronger! Or, in the summer, take a rest from a cycling tour with a cool drink. The parasols at the terrace are unfold! At what time the pub is open? We are open on Tuesday- and Thursday evening and on Sundays. During the summer holidays the terrace is open at Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. By car from Amsterdam: Leave Amsterdam throught the IJ-tunnel. Follow signs to N247, straight ahead. Continue on N247, past Monnickendam, Volendam and Edam. Edam is approximately 20,4 km. from the tunnel. the sign to turn left at Middelie is another 4,1 km. Turn left at the crossroad. Drive 1,5 km. up to garage Lange on your left hand side and trun right onto the street called Zijvend. The café-guesthouse is on your left. It has white painted bricks and Amstel lights. The name refers to the former sign municipal; het Wapen van Middelie. The logo still has the earlier elements but we use them in a modern way. Thats what we want: keep the good things of former days in a modern way. |
