The Yellow, Blue and Nassauroom take you way back in history. Those beautiful rooms retained their authentic character. In the Nassauroom, with its beautiful old portraits of the Frisian viceregents, nowadays couples are actually wedded. The First Floor of the hotel comprises twelve rooms, four of which might more aptly be named romantic suites, featuring four- poster beds en Jacuzzis. The attic accommodates ten so- called living rooms. Nine of these comprise a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with a full-size bath. These are suitable for anyone planning to stay any longer than a few days. If you would prefer to stay in one of our suites or living rooms, please ask reception about the surcharges applicable. | |

Route to Hotel Paleis Het Stadhouderlijk Hof/ Hofplein 29, traveling by car. From Bergum / Hardegarijp, entering Leeuwarden via Groningerstraatweg. * Turn to the left at the traffic lights. Follow the direction ‘Centrum’ at the first roundabout. Drive straight on at the second roundabout and turn to the left at the third roundabout. * Take the first turning on the right. Now you are in the street called Voorstreek. * Take the third turning on the right (called Wortelhaven, which is followed by Eewal). * Follow the road until the statue of Us Heit. You will find Het Stadhouderlijk Hof on the right. From Harlingen, entering Leeuwarden via Europaplein (roundabout). * Drive towards ‘Centrum’ at the roundabout ‘Europaplein’. Now you are in the street Harlingerstraatweg. Turn to the right at the next roundabout (monument ‘Us Mem’, a statue of a cow). * Turn to the left at the traffic lights. * Follow the road, it makes a turn to the right. (on your right you’ll see a leaning Tower, ‘The Oldehove’). * Turn to the right at the roundabout and turn to the right once more at the next roundabout. * Take the first turning on the right. Now you are in the street called Voorstreek. * Take the third turning on the right (called Wortelhaven, which is followed by Eewal). * Follow the road until the statue of Us Heit. You will find Het Stadhouderlijk Hof on the right. From Heerenveen, entering Leeuwarden via Harinxmabrug (bridge). * Turn to the right at the traffic lights. Turn to the left at the next traffic lights and follow the road. You will pass a level crossing and the road turns to the left. * Go straight on at the traffic lights, the central station is on your left. * Keep to the right, first roundabout you take the second right. * Follow the road until you can’t drive any further, the road turns to the left. You will pass the local theatre ‘De Harmonie’. * Drive straight on at the next traffic lights. * Follow the road, it makes a turn to the right (on your right you’ll see a leaning Tower, ‘The Oldehove’). * Turn to the right at the roundabout and turn to the right once more at the next roundabout. * Take the first turning on the right. You are now in the street called Voorstreek. * Take the third turning on the right (Wortelhaven, which is followed by Eewal). * Follow the road until the statue of Us Heit. You will find Het Stadhouderlijk Hof on the right. From Drachten, entering Leeuwarden via Drachtsterbrug (bridge). * Go straight ahead at the traffic lights at ‘Drachtsterplein’, which is a square. * Cross the level crossing and turn to the left at the next roundabout (across ‘Carpetland’). You will now find yourself in the street called Zuidvliet. Continue following this road. Drive straight on at the next roundabout. * Cross the canal to the right at the end of the road. The road makes a turn to the left and you will see a parking garage. * Cross the canal to the left.
